Coaching in India has often been undervalued, primarily due to cost barriers and limited awareness, especially among mid-level managers and senior leaders. However, a shift in perspective occurred for me a few years ago when I encountered someone who profoundly impacted my life.
It's crucial to recognize that coaching can be both affordable and highly impactful if you find the right guidance.
Are you prepared to explore this further and connect with a suitable mentor? Are you open to receiving coaching and acknowledging areas where you may need support, even if it means admitting uncertainty?
Understanding the distinction between "Clarity" and "Confidence" is key. Embracing the fact that guidance is sometimes necessary is a significant step towards personal growth and development. If you're not yet ready, it's essential to introspect and be truthful with yourself.
While being authentic with the external world is a choice, being authentic with oneself is fundamental for a fulfilling life. This is where true integrity lies.
So, are you coachable?
You’re doing everything right—but you’re still exhausted. That quiet burnout? It’s real. And you're not alone.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve spoken to several high-performing professionals. Many shared this one truth:
“I want to slow down, but I can’t. There’s just too much to do.”
So we created this post. A real conversation between a mentor and a burned-out achiever. Maybe you'll see yourself in it.
📌 Because the truth is:
✅ You matter—not just your output
✅ You don’t need to fall apart to realize it’s time to shift
✅ And small, intentional changes can protect your energy without compromising your ambition.

EVs won because they made financial sense. Can sustainable fashion win the same way? If you ask me whether Indian retail is ready to build sustainability into price sensitivity, I’ll tell you this:
We’re not there yet. And it's not because the intent isn’t there — it’s because the incentive isn’t clear enough yet for the consumer. Take EVs (electric vehicles) for example. We all know they're better for the environment. But that’s not why most people are buying them. They’re buying because it saves them money long-term. It’s about value first, sustainability second. If you try to sell sustainability alone in India, asking customers to pay a fat premium just for the planet’s sake, most customers won’t even stop to think twice, not because they don’t care — but because value always comes first.
So when we ask — can fashion, sourcing, retail make the “EV of fashion” happen? — the real question is: Are we ready to create sustainable products that also deliver better value, think long-term, make strategic investments, build talent, and shape vision in a way that hasn’t been done before?
Because right now, this is a white space. Very few are even trying to fill it. But for the ones who do? The upside is massive. It’s not just about launching another “eco-friendly” line and ticking a box. But about rethinking the model — making sustainability the default. Because it’s also the smarter, cheaper, better choice.
That’s the real challenge. And also, the real opportunity.
What’s your take — can Indian retail rise to the challenge? Would love to hear your thoughts.

What if the fastest way to a promotion… is to stop chasing one?
Sounds odd, right? But hear me out—most people are so focused on being “picked,” they forget to build the kind of impact that makes them undeniable.
Promotions aren’t handed out because you want them. They come when you’re known for the value you bring consistently. Here’s how to build that kind of value—without playing the politics game:
🔹 Don’t ignore office politics—but don’t get dragged into it either. You don’t have to gossip or flatter anyone. But you do need to understand how influence works. Watch how decisions are made.
🔹 Find your pocket skill—and make it unmissable. What’s the one thing you’re naturally great at? Turn that into your anchor. Sharpen it. Share it. Be so known for it that people think of you before a title opens up.
🔹 Work like the outcome is inevitable. Own your role like you already earned the next one. Speak up. Solve problems. Stay consistent. Because trust is built over time, not on demand.
You need to build a reputation—one that speaks louder than your resume. Promotion isn’t the goal. It’s the byproduct. Want to secure your dream promotions that last?
